Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

Another trip to the future...
After one day with gods, its time to go back into dark, musty future, as scifi-strategy Maelstrom is unprotected. Have fun, and be careful who you trust....

Its cold in Summer...
After a week of Unprotections, we present you with an Extra. What it is you ask? It's an Extra from HoffmannJ68. Why? Because it's now very hot outside and you'll get cold while playing Cold Dreams and checking out the Manual and Boxshots.

the evil has returned
Come with us to the world of Shannara! This masterpiece takes you into a magical world full of wonders and mysteries. After the Great War peace has fallen over the lands for more than 500 years. But now, the evil has returned and it's up to you to stop it from spreading terror again...

Dibs go to Frodo, who's left The Shire for a journey through the Four Lands and came back with a review and a complete walkthrough of the game, to Geezer and Paco, who submitted the boxshots, and - of course - to Terry Brooks, whose imagination and creativity raised the world of Shannara into live.

Get your ticket for Shady Vale and experience a real fantasy classic - Shannara awaits you!

Prepare to fall forever!

On a tropical beach, the sun's last rays are hiding behind the cold clouds. Isolated from the rest of the world, two fighters prepare to clash, defending their pride and honor. It's a fight for life and death!

Thanks to Acethor, we have the opportunity to finally try the One Must Fall demo - the unreleased game that started the popular fighting series. You can find the archive itself as extras for OMF 2097 and some bits of information in the main review, under notes.

The Deep Ones Are Calling You

Let the ritual begin! For today, when the greatest of all stars will fall on Earth, the hidden will be revealed and the truth will stand naked in front of these foolish people. Let the puny creatures know that the Old Ones have come back from the Deep to reclaim the Planet. Become their slaves or be swallowed by Cthulhu!

In this second newspost we have an incredible extras update for Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet, including the manual, several notes and boxshots. All fresh from Geezer's immortal scanner.

I object to not objecting!

But I don't to Objection!, a game where you try and find the identity of a killer while trying to, as a lawyer, defend your client. Just make sure you don't object too much...

Thanks to Sebatianos for bringing us possibly one of the most unique games of all time.

PyroLife = Pyrotechnica + SimLife

A double game update today to make up for my little blunder yesterday! First, go blow up some stuff in the aptly named Pyrotechnica, then repopulate the area in SimLife. Thanks to The Coop and Panthro for bringing us these strangely fitting games.

And we're back!

You may have noticed some problems earlier - visitors were unable to visit the site until a short while ago unless they were still logged in. But things have been fixed and things should be back to normal as we speak.

Apologies for the inconvenience to all those unable to visit the site during that time.

the near future...
A scientific expedition to Mars returns with an alien artifact, which is taken to a scientific complex. It is exposed to gamma radiation, and opens a portal to an alien world, which, as we would probably do if a portal suddenly opened in our world, flood through with guns and take over the entire complex. In Corridor 7, it is your job to eliminate the entire alien population and close the portal.

Floppy Images & Boxshots: B.A.T | Cadaver

Exploiting the Quest and Glory compilation (not the Quest for Glory Series), we were able to add floppy images of B.A.T. (the rare CGA/EGA/Tandy version!) and Cadaver, plus boxshots.

Ermuli also supplied the other two parts of the compilation, Bloodwych and Midwinter, but they are not reviewed yet. You can report at the Offers forum if you want to do so for the former (the latter is in progress already).

UltimaIX's Ultimate Ultima Extras

Another age has witnessed the sun hiding and the moon rising in an endless cycle. Once again the evil threatens the lands of Britannia, and once again the Avatar is summoned to face his greatest challenge. Do not abandon the Path of Virtue! Big thanks to ultimaIX who offered the scans for the box art, journal and references that came along with Ultima 5: Warriors of Destiny.

Keeping our games up-to-date I want to announce that we have replaced the Blood archive with Shadow_Stalker's zip file containing the original plus its subsequent expansions, Plasma Pak and Cryptic Passage. Don't hesitate to try it. Thanks to MrFlibble we now also host his unofficial patch for Dune II, which fixes various issues, including the ones adressed by the official Westwood patch. Read more about it in the review notes.

Time for action...

More precisly, it's time to call in the Special Forces, because bad guys are becoming strong and we can't allow that. Let the best men deal with drug barons and military fractions.

Justice for bad guys and cookies for Chris :)
