Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

Map: The Guild of Thieves

You are at the bottom of a stairway, in the depths of the temple. Another exit leads southeast from here with the word 'WOBNIAR' engraved in large letters above it.
>SE
A five by four grid of coloured squares makes up the floor of this bright room. Each of the squares is a colour of the rainbow.
>S
There are many ways to die in this world, many are heroic, some may even be worthwhile. Stepping on the wrong square is an extremely colourful way to go, with the entire spectrum seeming to dive into one eye, crawl around inside your head for a while and depart through the other eye. It's a real shame that such a colourful death is no way heroic, and certainly not worthwhile.

So I made a pointless map of this room. Apart from beeing pointless, it looks confusing and it seems I confused North and South to cause even more confusion. Don't know why - perhaps it is not a good thing to be interested in geography, having some quirky special world maps where the directions are changed or quirky special world maps which are centred in one of the poles or quirky special world maps where the cut goes through the Atlantic Ocean instead of the Pacific one... I should have added a caption reading: The making of this map was colourful but in no way heroic, and certainly not worthwhile.

big robots. with lasers.

In Thexder, you play such a robot. No, not a Transformer. A real robot. With a homing laser and some shields.

Why are you still here? Go play it!

Thanks to The Coop and SlowCoder for providing the game, and Geezer for providing a multitude of extras.

Games: Digger | Digger Remastered

Join the search for buried treasures of sparkling gold and shining emeralds. With chomping front jaws, your motorized Digger Mobile puts you in the driver's seat. Tunnel out free form mazes, outsmart the wide-eyed Nobbins and race to collect precious gems. Count on your wits - you'll need them!

Like Andrew Jenner who created Digger Remastered, which runs on all PCs with CGA or better and plays just like the original. It also has many new features.

Have a look at the review(s) by our subterranean Abandonian Pellaeon

Thanks to the hacker named Frodo, I have acquired more boxshots-s-s-s-s ###-#-######-#

I hope our scrambling SHODAN will give me enough time to tell you that we have some more boxshots for System Shock. As you may have noticed, this is due to Frodo's brilliant boxs--###-#-#####

Their scrambling will not help you now, human. My experiment will continue...

yesterday in outer space

"Dropping out of hyperspace, you lay course for Lagrange Station. Suddenly, the klaxon screams out a warning. Two Darts and a Corsair, closing fast. Pirates! You roll hard to avoid the incoming plasma torps. One hits, knocking down your rear shield. Spinning to protect your stern, you launch a heat seaker. Direct hit: the Corsair bursts into shards. Stunned, the Darts run for deep space. Later, over a pint of Rigelian in the Lagrange cantina, you listen as a bounty hunter tells of the Scarlet Brotherhood, the most notorious band of Pirates in the Far Arm. You hope it wasn't one of their Corsairs you vaporized out there..."

This sounds very familiar, doesn't it? "Yes!", you will probably say, "That's Privateer!" Many games come to mind, from Wing Commander to X2 or Freelancer. Actually, this game is the roots, where all the others ORIGINate from, it's Space Rogue

Thanks to Vanshilar, we have another of these constitutive classics on site. Not only he submitted the game, he's also put it in shape with Walkthroughs, Maps and Editing Guidelines. Excellent work, Vanshilar!

A yellow little fellow joins our site!

I'm happy to announce that a little yellow fellow now has decided to join our site!

I'm talking about the game, Jungle Jack. It's been a long fight to get it going and translated, but thanks to Luchsen, we finally managed to get the game up.

Enjoy the game, because it's very rare. It was only sold in Scandinavia where it never really had the biggest commercial success, but overall this game is a diamond!

I logged on, I downloaded...

I showed the plebs who's boss. Yes, it's unprotection time again. Caesar is back and he's better than ever (apart from thirty stab wounds, but who's counting?) Build your city, govern your province, and bribe your way into the hearts and minds of the Senate and People of Rome with the obligatory bread and circuses.

 Enjoy playing Caesar 2!

It's alive!

Yes, the first issue of Abandoned Times, Abandonia's own magazine, is finally finished! In each issue you'll find tons of stuff about all your favorite oldies so don't hesitate and go download it!

It's only a taste of what is to come in the next issue and those to follow, however, so if you want to contribute, hop over to the forums and check out the Abandoned Times sub forum.

Feel The Last Third of Darkness

The night's aura engulfs the swampy waters of the island. The darkness schemes behind your back, shifting from one place to another. You must hurry: find her and escape this silent prison, because there's no telling what other creatures, entities haunt its corridors. Don't let the darkness touch you!

We welcome another abandonware hero, Shadow_Stalker, and give him many thanks for supplying the archive and the review for Last Half of Darkness III, a rare game thought to be vaporware. We expect many contributions coming from the Rarity Forge in the near future. Everybody loves rare games!

Get back here coach!

Aaah, soccer games. There's nothing like them....well, okay. Those really appeal to sports-game fans only, with couple of exceptions. Same thing can be said about soccer manager games, which are heavy, full of stats and such. However, most of manager-games tend to be highly addictive.

So why am I writing nonsense about soccer? Thats what todays unprotection is all about: its the Ultimate Soccer Manager....2!
