You are cruising in your sports car when the little-used, dead-straight rural road suddenly becomes infested with donkeys. The world is in weird colours, and slowly but surely you think you are in the very first MS-DOS game. And you are right! Two probably unknown to you persons, named Bill Gates and Neil Konzen, programmed Donkey as a demonstration of Microsoft BASIC, which was part of the  OS-development contract they had with IBM. We offer a compiled executable for your convenience. Hee-haw!

Time to work for the pope

The Abbey of Montglane, has finally reached our archives.

You're a scholar in the 14th century, sent by the pope to recover the Ten Treasures.

The game is text-based, and has a medieval and a little horror theme, but I'll be careful not to spoil too much.

There are news from the Vega Sector: after ten years, the Kilrathi have returned and are causing trouble once more. Now, it's up to you to head out to stop them. But beware! There's a traitor amongst your ranks, so you'd better watch your back out there.

Pierce the sky towards infinity

We already had our little history lesson when we unprotected the game. Apparently there's no need for this now. Become the director of the space program, research, develop, test and ultimately win the race. However, this is only the first step you must take in order to conquer the void. Universe has no boundaries...

Today we complete the whole package by adding the boxshots and the manual for Buzz Aldrin's Race Into Space. Thanks Geezer for the magical scans. Maybe we should've sent MJ instead of Buzz to do some real moonwalking? Nah, no way!

Translations are back!

After 2 long years of english exclusivity in updates we finally have the translations back and working. Studentis has fixed the bug preventing us to post translations in other languages and we can continue our efforts in making AB available for other cultures, without trying to forcefully assimilate them. A lot of hard work has been put into this site feature in the past (Abandonia being partially translated into over 20 languages), so don't try to underestimate its value.

For the polyglots visiting our site and willing to dedicate some of their free time to the project: you can apply for a translator position in the Recruitment Forums. Just don't forget - we're all volunteers.

Its time to return pack to the hot desert in the southernwestern USA. Nuclear War has happened, and billions of lives were destroyed. Those who survived now live in the ruins of the old world, trying to rebuild the humanity. Yet, wasteland is filled with dangers, like mutated animals and criminals. Thats where you, a soldier of the Desert Ranger, the beacon of hope in the humanity, comes in. Take your gun and go out there. People need your protection.....

And that was my intro to the Wasteland, the father of the Fallout-games. The game is now downloadable again.
