November 20, 2008 A.D. Every available telescope on Earth is pointed at the constellation Balthasar to observe the incoming Objects. Every scientific mind frantically is searching for an answer. But only a small group of retarded people known as the Abandonians is able to recognise this phenomenon: It's boxshots!

Emperor Frederick's political gamble has proved dangerous. Desperate for boxshots, he has challenged the three great Houses to compete for scanning rights: The House that produces the most boxshots will control Dune, there are no territories ...and no rules of engagement. So the saying seems to be right: He who controls the boxshots, controls the universe.

First of all, apologies for the lack of true game updates. The game-side of our updating team has been slacking off a little and we've been hanging dry for three weeks now. But no worries anymore; TheChosen has stepped in to fill the void as a back-up updater.

And now, here's a treat for all "I-wanna-be-a-pirate!" guys, arcade lovers and action-game fans: Skull & Crossbones; a tale of pirates, sword-fights and kidnapped princesses, bought to you by BranjoHello. A big shiny doubloon to him!

2008 A.D. Abandonia, representing the Sol system, heads a council called Scan-Collecting Abandonware Nerds, or SCAN. A treaty has been signed by all member systems to insure the preservation of gamebox data. One highly decorated pilot of the Ares Squadron, AlumiuN, dared to fly a recon mission, and returned with promising results!

One fine day not long ago, Ermuli cheerfully went to his domestic mini golf course. As always, he scored 18 hole-in-ones, then strolled to the last hole to fetch his ball and finally conclude the round.  He put his hand into the cup, took hold, pulled, and revealed... some boxshots! Astonishing!

red_avatar is an innocent insider stranded in a vast city where oppressed Abandonians live and work in soaring tower blocks, while the corrupt, covetous and rich lie underground, shielded from all oldgame interests. Alone, save for a scanner, red_avatar must fight for survival, and spread the sinister truth behind the denial of entertaining programming efforts.

To commemorate the defeat of the Guardian's forces one year ago, red_avatar and the leaders of Abandonia are invited to an evening of celebration. Suddenly the Guardian strikes again, encasing some boxshots in a blackrock gem. But red_avatar is able to throw off the evil titan's yoke, dazzling him with his scanner. And so the party can go on again!
