Introduction...
Moses Matchup is a Christian education picture matching game with the theme of Moses.
Tell me a story...
You know Moses, the guy who is honorary member in any illusionistic circle for inventing the Burning Bush, the Ten Plagues, the Exodus, the Divided Waters, the Manna and the Ten Commandments, don't you? If not, download this game, execute it and click on INST. (instructions).
The same procedure as every year?...
Yes, in matters of the pairs concept, except for the optional two Hesed Cards which automatically find the match to the other card or even give an instant win when found both at once. You flip two of the 5x6 cards, trying to get a matching pair, keeping your turn when you get one, memorising the locations of everyone's misses for future turns. Only mouse control (sorry, keyboarders). The player number can be one (showing the tries you needed as result) to three. The difference comes with the Christian information about Moses. The cards depict biblical scenes or religious symbols, and the instructions explain them; or the cards illustrate the text respectively - it's symbiotic.
Eyes and ears...
The graphics is VGA. Style = textually pleasing, graphically stumbling. Fitting church music snippets when you match a pair, either internal speaker or FM music. Long FMs at title screen and instructions.
After output now the input...
flip card - Mouse click
quit - Esc
Transduction...
A basic pairs game as bible-knowledge consolidator. The reward musics disrupt the game flow, especially the longer FM ones. TWO points! Recommended for memorisers, critics eager for knowledge and small groups.
Because of a bug in Borland Pascal, you get the runtime error 200 on undamped fast systems. For a fix, click the (future) link in the extras, but be aware that the game then runs slower as intended. Under post-DOS operating systems you should simply use DOSBox. If you can't change to FM music or/and want to hear the title screen tune, start the game with C:\>MOSESMUP /FM.
