Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

Oil Imperium aka Black Gold
Oil has been a rather critical resource during the past decade. It's a source of energy, but also a source of war. However, it can be a source of fun, too, as this great game proves: Oil Imperium. So enjoy another high-quality upload and review provided by Bobbin!

Montezuma's Return
To take us into the Easter weekend we have an interesting game, Montezuma's Return. This is no mindless first person action game; it requires both brains and brawn to succeed. Another unusual facet of this game is that you carry no weapons, even though your adversaries do. Kon-Tiki is the man who supplied the game and the helpful review. Some caramel-centred easter eggs are rolling his way.

MUDS
M.U.D.S. is somewhat similar to Easter. You have to dig in the dirt in order to get hold of sort of an egg, which brings you a feeling triumph when you manage to achieve it. The only difference to Easter is, that you've got to compete against a team of monsters... Enjoy an extraordinary sports game reviewed and supplied by Bobbin!

Plan 9 from Outer Space
Ever heard of Ed Wood? He was the worst director - or so they say. His film Plan 9 from Outer Space may very well be the worst movie ever! And here's a game based on that movie. You might hate it, but I'm sure you'll at least want to try it!

Born in a town of Wadowice in Poland, on May 18, 1920, Karol Josef Wojtyla was the son of a retired army officer and a school teacher. He secretly studied theology during the Nazi occupation of Poland. By the age of 36, he had two doctorate degreess and was a professor of ethics. He became a cardinal at age 47. In October 1978, Wojtyla became the first Slavic pope ever and the first non-Italian pope in 455 years. He took the name John Paul II. He was in all aspects a man of integrity. He led the church in a conservative way, which caused much opposition, yet he did not yield to pressure. He made some unpopular decisions, but remained true to himself and his calling. May he live on in our memory as a great man who fought against war and poverty, as well as a man, who wanted to surpass the barriers between different religions and states. Rest in Peace Karol Josef Wojtyla John Paul II.

Today's game is a famous strategy called Populous - the first in the quadrilogy, as Overlord calls the series. (Love that word!) Overlord has done fantastic work on the game review while both he and Kon-Tiki provided some very nice screenshots. Thanks, guys!

Lands of Lore
The king is deeply concerned! Strange happenings trouble his realm. What about the rumours, that evil witch Scotia has found a Mask of Power? Will the Draracle's dark visions finally come true? A hero is sought for to avert the mysterious threat which arises in the Lands of Lore! Will you be this hero? We bow before Westwood for making this jewel, Bobbin for supplying it and Omuletzu for his great review!

Mean Streets
Tonight there's another top adventure game for you all, Mean Streets. And does it look mean. For those who prefer other genres, don't despair as there's action and flight simulation sequences as well. This was a remarkable and innovative game for its time, so I'd recommend giving it a go. Mentor is the man responsible for providing, reviewing and shooting this fine game. Thanks, Mentor!

Risky Woods
Risky Woods is an action, side-scrolling platform game that really tests the reflexes. You have to be fast to beat this game. Who amongst us will be first? Try your skill and report back in the game discussion forum. A few people helped to get this game onsite. Firstly, our very own reptile, Lizard, provided an ultra inciteful review - awesome, thanks! :) Kon-Tiki did much work preparing the update. Appreciated! :) And thanks to my mate, Fawful, who tested the game for dosbox. ((( )))
