RETROLIFE IS HERE!
Hello there fellow Abandonians and all you retro-lovelies! Today we have a very special announcement for you - The incredibly talented Nick02 has been working on something very special for all of us and it's now ready for the public!Retrolife is a new social networking site designed specifically with retro-gaming, freeware fans and developers in mind. A place where you can share opinions, ideas and pretty much anything else you could imagine! Why not join up today and have a look - remember it's still in beta so don't feel shy, if you come across a problem let the staff know.
I'll see you over there!
Our mighty member Geezer has brought these images back from his travels to this future with many a risk to his own person.
Today we bring you one of the first, but undoubtedly greatest CRPG dungeon-crawlers of all time:
Wizardy : Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord
Made by Sir-tech way back in 1984, Wizardry takes your party of up to six different adventurers on a grand quest, in which you, dear reader, must descend ten levels of peril and treachery, in your search for the fabled magical amulet guarded by the evil Archmage Werdna.
I hope you will have as much fun with this grandfather of CRPGs as we did, enjoy! ;-)
Today we bring you a real oldie from the 80s, Starquake.
You, the player, will have to control the Bio-Logically Operated Being, (or B.L.O.B for short) in your quest to save a planet from exploding. During this mission, you will encounter many perils and hostile indigenous life-forms as you make your way to the planet's core, using teleporters and hoverboards to quicken the descent.
Many thanks to Ironlion for providing us with not just the game, but the screenshots, review and even a couple of extras to help you out in case you get stuck.
