Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.

When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.

‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team

We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.

Please give whatever you can to help us.

Baal
Man today was a tough day. I think I'm gonna take a nap in a while. While I'm resting, you could as well check out Baal, an action shooter where you, the hero of the day, have to stop a wicked fiend who stole a powerful war machine. Luckily, he was dumb enough to dismantle it and spread the components over the various levels, so you still got a chance to save the world!

Star Control 3
Some would consider today's update a real treat, but the editor thought otherwise. The game in question is Star Control 3 and by reading Javier's in-depth review you can find out why he thought it doesn't live up to its predecessors names. Try it for yourself and let us know what you think in the forums! Happy gaming!

Krustys Super Fun House
Being a true Simpsons fan I'm glad to see our update for today feature my favorite neurotic clown: Krusty! In this game Krusty's Super Fun House has been infested with rats and for some reason the other characters from the Simpsons are against you as well...

Fantasy Empires
Hello ladies and gentlemen! We're really pleased you're attending today's update and, as a token of our appreciation, we'll be adding a truly excellent one to our Strategy section. Fantasy Empires puts you in charge of a kingdom, your purpose being to overcome the neighbouring territories to form a true Empire. Pretty standard quest if you ask me, but heck, it's in Dungeons&Dragons!

Magic Candle, The
Today Abandonia breaks another treshold. Counting this update we now have 800 classic games on the site, and we're still going strong! Our 800th game is a 1989 classic RPG very similar to the early Ultima games. In The Magic Candle (kindly reviewed by MarkUK) you're trying to prevent a demon from escaping from a candle...

In other news: Yesterday I added the 4000th game to the AW List. Which was another milestone in Abandonian History. The list is slowly becoming the best online resource for software status. Whee!

Kosta managed to connect the site to the AW list earlier this day, which means that there won't be differences in status between the two. Ever again. It also means that some games on the site have suddenly changed status, and this will continue in the future as well. Whenever a game is sold, it will immediately be reflected on the site. And when it isn't sold anymore, it will be updated accordingly again. And so on. There are still some slight issues that needs to be fixed before everything is running smoothly, but it should be fixed really soon. This site is just getting better and better. ^_^

Robot Odyssey
Three robots, a world to escape from and puzzles, puzzles, puzzles are some of the elements of a great old educational game by Warren Robinett: Robot Odyssey. Check the Crypt for this one (or simply click on the pic to teh left).

Street Fighter
Today's update is the prequel of what may be the most famous beat-'em-up game in history- Street Fighter II. Although it doesn't keep up with its well-known sequel, Street Fighter deserves a try to see where it all started.

Final Frontier
A post-apocalyptic strategy game in which your 'robot city' has to defeat all others. Swiss thinks it might be 'one of the first RTS in the world of PC gaming?' It's Final Frontier!

Rockys Boots
The 6th game from this '80s streak we're having (which is kind of unplanned, I just noticed it) is part of a series of educational games produced by the aptly named Learning Company. Our dedicated reviewer guesst has provided us this challenging puzzle game: Rocky's Boots.

DStroy
After all those 80ies updates, it's nice to see we only have to go beck 10 years for this one: DStroy is a 1995 Bomberman look-a-like which even has a storyline to follow. Alternatively you can just blow up stuff :)

8088 Othello
Well you got your 90s game so we can come back to the glorious 80s. I don't know how many of you know the game Othello. I've never really gotten into it but I sometimes won games out of pure luck. Anyway now you've got it right here in case you want to try it out, and it's a really tiny download too, so don't be stingy.
