Dear Abandonia visitors: Help us keep Abandonia free with a small donation. Abandonia is like an old gaming arcade with only original games. Abandonia helps you have fun four hours and years. If Abandonia is useful to you, please help us forget fundraising and get back to Abandonia.
When Abandonia was founded it was to collect and present all old games where the copyright protection had been abandoned, hence the term ’abandonware’ and the site name Abandonia.com. We are still keeping the site open and free and will appreciate your support to help it stay that way.
‐ Thank you from the Abandonia Team
We are trying to make it easy for people in every country to donate. Please let us know how we could make it easier for you.
11 - 03 - 2004 This is a very small update.
Two Day of the Tentacle songs, classic. They are very good you should check them out and play them at full volume to annoy the neighbours ;). posted by Icemant90 // 11-03-2004 // permalink
16 - 03 - 2004 Today we have a special treat for you. The Picard, who is a relatively new crewmember, has given us the chance to experience a truly remarkable soundtrack of Icewind Dale composed by Jeremy Soule - a very famous game symphonist. I suggest you take advantage of this rare opportunity. Enjoy listening! posted by Kosta // 16-03-2004 // permalink
25-03-2004 We have decided to organize big Oscar type voting for the "Best 20 Games in PC History". Its pretty simple. All forum members can place their nominations of 10 favorite games. The Picard has written a very good set of straightforward rules that you should follow. After the voting has been done, we'll make a separate page with the winners that will contain in-depth info, history and everything else related with all games in the section. I hope you like the idea! Vote away! :)
P.S. If you are not a forum member, you can't post nominations so click HERE to register. posted by Kosta // 25-03-2004 // permalink
Star Trek - 25th Anniversary Its been a while since the last game update and I'm sorry about that, but I hope we can make it up to you by this wonderful update. By writing the review, and uploading the game archive, The Picard has given us the chance to enter the world of Star Trek - 25th Anniversary and place ourselves into the shoes of one and only Captain Kirk. Its a game that will take some time getting used to, but once you've learned the basics, the playing experience will be very rewarding. Star Trek fan or not, give it a try! posted by Kosta // 31-03-2004 // downloadable // game // Adventure // permalink
10 - 04 - 2004 You've probably looked at the thumbnail on the left and thought "No way they added Homeworld!". And you were right, we didn't. :) Still, we did add one aspect of it, without which the game would have been far less enjoyable - you guessed it, music! The Picard and I have extracted and hand-picked the most memorable epic tracks. All that's left for you to do is download and enjoy! posted by Kosta // 10-04-2004 // permalink
Master of Orion The Picard has been diligent yet again and took me totally by surprise with his enormous review for Master of Orion! Not only that, he was also good enough to supply the game archive and walkthrough. Until the end of the week, I promisse to make another update, of my own this time! :) Happy MOO-ing! posted by Kosta // 26-04-2004 // not downloadable // game // Strategy // permalink
Realms of Arkania - Star Trail You were probably starting to think that the the RPG section got into a stalemate, but Tom Henrik provided us something that will certainly throw away any doubt. Star Trail, the second sequel in the Realms of Arkania trilogy has been reviewed and added to the site. A real treat for all RPG fans! Have fun! posted by Kosta // 05-05-2004 // not downloadable // game // RPG // permalink
07-05-2004 Unfortunately, this is not an update. Just a notice that someone has decided to erase the complete site and get away with it. Whoever did it, well done. At least this will teach me not to give out passwords to anyone. I hope the downtime will not cause you much trouble. The games will start re-appearing on the site as the game archives will be uploaded. This will take around 12-16 hours so please have patience. We'll continue with the updates as usual. posted by Kosta // 07-05-2004 // permalink
Blood After a pretty hectic week of hacker attacks, server changes, domain problems, I believe we have finally completed all the necessary changes to make Abandonia faster and more reliable in the future! Well, on with the updates! Today we have something bloody and gory in store for you - Blood a.k.a. Horror 3D. I'm sure you'll find it hillarious and fun to play. Be advised, though, it contains lots of violence. posted by Tom Henrik // 18-05-2004 // not downloadable // game // Action // permalink
Realms of Arkania - Blade of Destiny Our newest associate, Tom Henrik is working at full pace and the games ready for upload are just stacking up on the server. That's why I have decided to add a new one just a day after the last update. And the game you've all been waiting for is Blade of Destiny, the first sequel of the Realms of Arkania trilogy. RPG section is slowly filling up... New update comming soon! posted by Kosta // 19-05-2004 // not downloadable // game // RPG // permalink
Pizza Tycoon We neglected the Simulation section for past few months so obviously, it was time to add something fresh to the category. Since tycoon games are usually quite fun and popular, we decided to add another one in the series - Pizza Tycoon. Now, a lot of people complained they didn't get it, or it was too complicated to play, so Tom Henrik took some of his valuable time and wrote a step-by-step starter's tutorial for it which should help you get started! I've also included a recipe book that should help you out when you run out of pizza ideas! :) All in all, a lot of time has been put into this one, so have fun! posted by Kosta // 22-05-2004 // not downloadable // permalink
Fields of Glory After adding some action, RPG and sim games, its time for the strategy section's turn. Its proud new member is Fields of Glory, a very detailed and realistic game from Microprose. If you fancy historical battles, this one was made for you. Next up is the racing section so check back in a day or two! posted by Kosta // 24-05-2004 // permalink
Ignition After my diligent associates have been adding games for past few weeks (or even months), I've decided it was time that I finally added something too. So, with the help of Titan who provided the archive, I've compiled a thorough review with pictures for one of the most addictive and fun games I've ever played - Ignition. I've went to great lengths with the review so you'll find all the relevant info there :)
Have fun! posted by Kosta // 27-05-2004 // downloadable // game // Racing // permalink

Ultima 7 - The Black Gate Though not being the most frequent updater, Mika is very consistent and keeps filling up the RPG section steadily. This time he does it with The Black Gate, a long awaited sequel to Ultima 6. Make sure you read the entire review as it contains valuable tips regarding the game's copy protection and functionality. Tomorrow we'll bring you a legendary strategy so be sure to come back! posted by Kosta // 30-05-2004 // not downloadable // game // RPG // permalink
